Report on the Networking Event for Female Students and Researchers
On Monday, May 12, 2025, a networking event was held for female graduate students and researchers affiliated with the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology (IST), as well as female undergraduate students from related departments. The event was organized by the Gender Equality Committee of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology.
More than 30 participants chatted about their research fields and career paths while enjoying lunch. Many participants shared positive comments, such as, “I was happy and encouraged to meet and talk freely with female researchers and students who are making effort in the same major.” It seems that this event was a great opportunity for them.
The Gender Equality Committee is currently accepting applications for the “Diversity & Inclusion Initiative Support”. We encourage all interested students to take advantage of this opportunity.
We plan to continue hosting networking events for female students and researchers in the future. Announcements will be made on the IST website, and we look forward to welcoming many participants.
