Department Objective

The department offers graduate-course (master and doctorate courses) education and conducts advanced comprehensive research centered around the fields of computers / information processing (hardware and software), information networks, communication systems, signal processing, media technologies and information electronics. Our activities in education and research are partly operated in cooperation with the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Departments of the Graduate School of Engineering. Our mission is the creation of new technologies in the above fields, in particular, innovative technologies for both society and industry.
