Graduate School of Information Science and Technology Doctoral Student Special Incentives Program (IST-RA)

The Graduate School of Information Science and Technology has a special incentives program for doctoral students (IST-RA). While its primary aim is to encourage outstanding doctoral students to take part in scientific research, it also promotes effective scientific research, fulfilling research programs, and the education of doctoral students as young researchers. For details, application procedures, and related information, please refer to the application guidelines.

The application guidelines for 2026 will be available aroud May 27. Applications will be accepted from Friday, June 6 to Friday, June 20.

Note: The empolyment period of IST-RA is one year, but it can be extended up to the standard duration of study if the student's reseach activities are judged to be good enough by the annual evaluation conducted by the graduate school.
