Doctoral Student Support Project (SPRING GX)
Call for Applications for Autumn Admission! (Deadline: July 29（Wed.）15:00)
The University of Tokyo "Fostering Advanced Human Resources to Lead Green Transformation (GX)” project (Project officer : Professor Shin-ichi Ohkoshi) supported by Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by Next Generation (SPRING) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is the program that 1,307 doctoral students participate from all schools of the University of Tokyo.
We recruit students entering the doctoral course in Autumn 2026.
- Eligibility: Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program (including four-year doctoral programs) at the University's graduate school in April 2026 (including those currently applying).
- Number of places:
Domestic Students: Approximately 35
International Students: Approximately 35
- Application period: July 13, 2026 (Mon.) - July 29, 2026 (Wed.)15:00
* Eligibility details for Domestic Students and International Students are provided on the SPRING GX recruitment page.
* Students currently enrolled in a master’s program and affiliated with WINGS are also eligible; however, please note that WINGS students must submit different documents and use a separate application form.
