[Call for Applications by November 20] Double Degree Program with Sorbonne University

The Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, is now accepting applications for participation in the Double Degree Program with Sorbonne University from students who are scheduled to enroll in the doctoral program (Ph.D. course) in April 2027.

This program is designed for students who successfully pass the admission examinations of both The University of Tokyo and Sorbonne University and will be enrolled as regular doctoral students at both institutions. Participants will receive joint research supervision from faculty members of both universities while pursuing their doctoral studies. Upon successfully passing the joint dissertation examination and fulfilling all degree requirements established by both universities, including the completion of required coursework, students will be awarded doctoral degrees from each institution.

This call for applications is open to applicants who have passed the Summer 2026 Entrance Examination and are scheduled to enter the doctoral program of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology in April 2027.

  Approximately one to two students.
