As part of efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment for female students in information science, the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology (IST) will hold a casual advising session about academic paths on the Komaba campus on Friday, July 31.

The field of information science is remarkably broad and crosses many interesting domains. It spans not only cutting-edge AI theory, quantum computing, the metaverse, cybersecurity, big data analysis, and robotics, but also psychology research using the latest technologies and life engineering aimed directly at solving social problems.

For female undergraduates who have even a slight interest in these information science fields, we will introduce their appeal and the pathways to advancing into IST. Graduate students and faculty will be happy to answer any questions, so come enjoy some light snacks and mingle freely with other female students who share an interest in the same field!!

We are also looking for female graduate students from IST to participate as advisors. If you are interested, please sign up via the link below.
