Exchange Program through IST
・Application Procedure
- Receive a permission to go study abroad from your supervising professor at IST.
- Take TOEFL iBT or IELTS. (B2 level or above)
- Submit "Exchange Program Participation Plan" to the Office of International Relations, Grad. School of IST.
- Submit the completed application documents of the school you are planning to go to the Office of International Relations, Grad. School of IST by Grad. School of IST's deadline (see Application Deadlines below) by PDF.
- Apply for Scholarship etc.
- Note:You are not allowed to take a leave of absence from the university.

・After you are accepted(after you receive your acceptance letter from the university you applied)
- Submit the Acceptance Letter to Office of International Relations.
- Apply for the visa and accomodation by following the accepted university's instruction
- Purchase overseas travel insurance(buying Comprehensive Insurance for Students Lives Coupled with "Gakkensai" is mandatory.)
- Purchase the OSSMA (Overseas Student Safety Management Assistance) service (optional)
- Fill out some forms at your department office for Study Abroad ("Request of Permission to Study Abroad" is mandatory. Please check the deadline for submission at your department office.)
Up to 15 credits can be transfered to UTokyo. If you are interested in transferring some credits, please fill out those documents listed below. You can get the documents at your department office. (It is not guaranteed 100% for the credits to be accepted.)
