Rakuten Institute of Technology, New York (RIT-NY)：Closed for accepting application in this year

• Dear potential intern students: Rakuten Institute of Technology, New York (RIT-NY) is looking for motivated and talented students for summer internships in New York. Internship information is the following: Topics (not limited to the following)
  • Novel user experience design for e-commerce applications
  • Developing technologies using noisy huge data to improve usability and/or accuracy of e-commerce applications
  • Machine learning on e-commerce applications
  Available data will not be limited to Rakuten’s data. Other Rakuten group company’s data may also be used for the research. Rakuten group includes Rakuten China, Taiwan, Buy.com, LinkShare (US), PriceMinister (France) and Tradoria (Germany).
• Qualifications
  • PhD or MSc students in Computer Science and related disciplines 　(If you are MSc students, we prefer people who are planning to pursue a PhD)
  • Programming skills on Linux (no preference on programming languages)
  • Strong English communication skills (just as reference, TOEIC 700 or more is preferred)
  • We will accept around 2 people from world-wide, no limitation or preference based on nationality or region
• Condition
  • Term: any three-month period within the window of June to October 2013 (three-month period is preferable, but we can negotiate on this matter)
  • Salary, return trip to New York and accommodation (for non-New York residents) will be provided
