Students who want to learn Japanese language can join the Japanese language classes on campus. These classes are run by the University of Tokyo or by Graduate School of Engineering and Information Science and Technology. Students should ask supervising professor’s advice regarding which class to take and how many classes to take per week in advance. In Japanese class, students also have a chance to learn Japanese culture such as tea ceremony and how to dress Japanese clothes called Kimono.
