タイトル:Model Reduction for Linear and Nonlinear Control Systems


概要:

Frequently one seeks a reduced order model of a control system. One goal is to find a reduced model with approximately the same input output behavior. Moore did the fundamental work in model reduction for linear control systems and Scherpen generalized it to non linear control systems. We shall review these accomplishments and offer a new interpretation of Moore's linear balanced truncation that leads to a new model reduction technique for nonlinear systems. We shall also give new error estimates for the error between the full and reduced model in both the linear and nonlinear cases.
